Authore: ElijahUpdate:May 03,2025

HBO's The Last of Us Season 2 is gearing up for its April premiere with the addition of six new cast members, as reported by Variety. The new actors joining the series include Joe Pantoliano, known for Memento and The Matrix, Alanna Ubach from Euphoria and Bombshell, Ben Ahlers of The Gilded Age and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Hettienne Park from Don’t Look Up, Robert John Burke from RoboCop 3, and Noah Lamanna, who appeared in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

These additions will bring to life both characters from the original The Last of Us Part II game and new characters created for the show. Notably, Joe Pantoliano will portray Eugene, a character originally a minor figure in the game as Ellie and Dina's friend. In the series, Eugene's role will be significantly expanded, similar to how Bill's backstory was fleshed out in Season 1. Showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann shared with Variety their excitement about exploring Eugene's character more deeply, enhancing the narrative around Joel and Ellie's relationship.

Robert John Burke will play Seth, the bar owner from The Last of Us Part II known for his controversial actions, while Noah Lamanna will portray Kat, Ellie's former girlfriend. Alanna Ubach, Ben Ahlers, and Hettienne Park will introduce new characters to the series: Hanrahan, Burton, and Elise Park, respectively.

The new cast members join returning stars Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Isabela Merced as Dina, Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, and Gabriel Luna as Tommy. The showrunners have indicated that the story of The Last of Us Part II will unfold over multiple seasons, promising more exciting developments as the episodes are released.

The Last of Us Season 2 premieres on April 13, continuing the adaptation of The Last of Us Part II into the live-action format.
