The highly anticipated Version 2.3 update for Wuthering Waves, titled Fiery Arpeggio of Summer, has been released and is set to captivate players over the course of four exciting phases. This update not only marks the game's first anniversary but also coincides with its much-awaited launch on Steam, making it accessible to PC gamers. The update rolls out on April 29th and will run through until June 12th, 2025, offering an extended period of new content and celebrations.
Players with a decent Union Level will find a plethora of new content to explore, including fresh characters, immersive story arcs, and a variety of event content. The new storylines, A Blaze in the Dark and Your Summer Will Never Wither, promise to deepen the game's narrative. Additionally, a new wave of Phantom Echoes, featuring Crownless (and its Nightmare version), Nimbus Wraith, and the intriguing Chest Mimic, will challenge and thrill players.
To celebrate the game's milestones, several login events are scheduled. The Gifts of Grand Celebration event, running from May 23rd to June 11th, rewards players at Union Level 8 with Radiant Tides and a Moment of Resonance. Other events, such as Gifts of Grand Reunion (April 29th to June 11th) and Gifts of Melodic Verses (June 5th to June 19th), will offer Radiant Tide, Lustrous Tide, Astrite, Modifiers, and a range of upgrade materials.
The update also brings back the popular Cubie Derby minigame, available both as a leisure event and a spectator sport where you can cheer on your favorite Cubes. Roll the dice, maneuver your Cube on the board, and collect rewards such as Phantom: Chest Mimic and Flight Aspect: Laureate.
In the first phase of the update, players can participate in gacha pulls for Resonators like Lumi, Taoqi, and Yuanwu, along with weapons such as Dauntless Evernight, Overture, and Hollow Mirage. This phase will last until June 11th, providing ample time to enhance your arsenal.
