In 2022, Innersloth transformed the gaming landscape with the launch of a virtual reality version of Among Us, which garnered widespread acclaim. Building on that success, the studio is now pushing boundaries further with Among Us 3D, introducing a fully immersive first-person perspective experience without the need for a VR headset.
Players can look forward to the familiar core mechanics of Among Us, now reimagined for traditional gaming platforms. A teaser trailer provides an exciting preview, showing how tasks, meetings, and sabotage will unfold from the perspective of your character. Fans won't have to wait long to dive into this new dimension; a free demo will be available during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, allowing everyone to test the waters.
Although an official release date has yet to be announced, Among Us 3D is set to debut on PC, optimized for seamless gameplay with keyboard and mouse controls. The interface has been updated to improve accessibility, ensuring a smooth experience for all players. Additionally, the game will support cross-play, enabling Among Us 3D players to connect with those enjoying Among Us VR, while the original Among Us remains a separate entity.
To enhance the player experience even further, Innersloth is set to introduce a new in-game currency called Stardust in the coming months. This addition will offer expanded customization options, allowing players to personalize their avatars and actively contribute to the game's continuous evolution.
