Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been unexpectedly rated for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, even before any official announcement from the developers about its release on the new console.
While we await official confirmation that this game, inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, will indeed grace the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, initially spotted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, provides compelling evidence.
The tweet stated, "Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," and mentioned that it had secured a 12+ rating before being removed.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the iconic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series, offering an expansive roster of characters, each endowed with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques that enrich the gaming experience. In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, praising it as "a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 opened on April 24, maintaining a price of $449.99. The demand was predictably high, as detailed in our coverage and they went about as well as you'd expect. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who applied for a Switch 2 pre-order from the My Nintendo Store, cautioning that release date delivery could not be guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
