Originally released in Japan, Hyde Run is now accessible to players worldwide, thanks to its developer and publisher, Phoenixx. This game offers global fans a unique way to immerse themselves in HYDE's music, featuring a myriad of references to his illustrious career.
Move, Jump, or Slide in Hyde Run
In Hyde Run, players will experience a dynamic blend of parkour across a concert stage and the futuristic cityscape of Neo Tokyo. As HYDE, you'll engage in a high-speed chase, dodging obstacles, executing wall-runs past vibrant billboards, and collecting musical notes.
The game's atmosphere is infused with a distinctive neon-and-noise aesthetic, setting it apart from typical endless runners. Hyde Run injects the energy of guitar solos and fan-favorite elements, creating a deeply immersive experience.
Throughout your run, you can seize various power-ups, including magnets that attract notes to you and barriers that protect against damage. Before starting each run, you can equip items like Note Gain to enhance note collection or a Barrier to avoid tripping over obstacles.
Additionally, collecting crystals allows you to unlock exclusive outfits and room items from HYDE's career, along with voice clips from HYDE himself by unlocking the Microphone Stand.
There’s More Stuff in the Game to Do
Hyde Run also lets you personalize HYDE’s room within the game, featuring memorabilia spanning 20 years of his career, from tour gear to more obscure items. Hidden items unlock additional messages and voice notes from HYDE, adding depth to the experience.
Currently, the game offers limited-time content available until June 10th, 2025. This includes the THE LAST ROCKSTARS Costume Set, which outfits HYDE in the iconic look from his music video, complete with matching ROCK Furniture like leopard prints, vintage trunks, and stage spotlights.
For a more relaxed vibe, there's the Bat Jinbei Costume Set, inspired by summer festivals. Additionally, a Japanese-style furniture set featuring bamboo, bonboris, and a wind chime shaped like HYDE’s Edyh character adds a traditional touch.
