The claims against J.C. Lee emerged in 2017 after her mother's passing, gaining traction through a 2018 Hollywood Reporter expose. The article, reportedly influenced by three individuals close to the Lee family, depicted J.C. as financially manipulative - alleging she aggressively pursued control of her parents' assets. The controversial piece described explosive verbal confrontations with Stan Lee, characterizing their relationship as volatile, and included disturbing photos of bruises on Joan Lee's arm - evidence J.C. vehemently disputes.
Speaking now to Business Insider, J.C. declares these allegations entirely false. She explains remaining silent during THR's original reporting was poor legal advice she continues to regret. "Every accusation is fabricated," she states. "That photograph is completely manipulated. I would never harm my parents."
While admitting to heated financial disputes with her parents, J.C. maintains these never turned physical. "There was never any physical contact between us," she asserts firmly.
Stan Lee passed away from cardiac arrest in 2018 at age 95.
