Alphadia III, the latest installment in the beloved series by KEMCO and developed by EXE CREATE, has now officially launched on Android for global players. Initially released in Japan last October, this third chapter transports players to the Alphadian Year 970, where they dive into the climactic stages of the Energi War—a monumental struggle over a vital life force known as energi.
What’s the Story in Alphadia III?
The narrative unfolds amidst a world torn apart by three dominant powers: the Schwarzschild Empire in the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom in the west, and the Luminea Alliance in the east, all vying for control over the precious energi. The plot thickens when a clone soldier named Alfonso is thrust into the chaos following a visit from a girl named Tarte, who brings news of a fellow clone's demise, igniting a pivotal turning point in his journey.
What’s the Gameplay Like?
Alphadia III retains the engaging turn-based combat system seen in its predecessors, presented in a charming side-view pixel art style. Players can leverage SP Skills, which charge up during battles and can dramatically shift the tide when used strategically. Additionally, the game introduces Arrays—dynamic battle formations and strategies that evolve as you progress, offering varied tactical options against different foes.
A novel feature in Alphadia III is the Energi Crock, where players can deposit spare items. Over time, this Crock generates Energi Elements, which can be exchanged for valuable equipment or items at in-game shops. Players will encounter various factions, such as the peacekeeping Deval alliance and the elite Rosenkreutz unit from Nordsheim, alongside distinct energi clone models like the Berger Series from Nordsheim and the Delta Series from Schwarzschild.
Beyond the central narrative, the game offers a wealth of side content and is optimized for controller use. Alphadia III is available for purchase on the Google Play Store for $7.99, with a freemium version featuring ads also accessible on Android.
