So, you've just finished a mission in Ready or Not, taken down all the enemies, rescued the hostages, and thought you did everything by the book. But then, out of nowhere, you get slapped with a "Mission Not Complete" message. Frustrating, isn't it? Don't worry, you're not alone. Here's how to tackle the "Mission Not Complete" issue in Ready or Not.
1. Double-Check Your Objectives
First things first, make sure you've ticked off all your objectives. Even if you think you've done everything, the game might have other ideas. If you miss any objectives, you can still vote to end the mission, but it won't count as complete.
How to Check:
Hit the Tab button to pull up the mission menu and review your objective list. If anything's still red or marked as incomplete, that's your culprit. Here are some common objectives players often overlook:
- Reporting downed suspects or civilians – If you've incapacitated or killed a suspect, you need to report it by interacting with them (F by default). The same goes for civilians.
- Securing evidence (weapons, bombs, etc.) – Make sure to pick up any dropped weapons. If a suspect drops a gun, grab it.
- Completing optional objectives – Some missions have extra tasks, like disabling security systems. Skipping these can lead to the mission not being counted as complete.
- Ensuring all hostages are safe – If a civilian is still tied up somewhere, you need to rescue them properly.
Fix: Go back through the map and double-check if you've missed anything.

2. The Vote-to-End Issue (Multiplayer)
This issue trips up a lot of players. In co-op mode, everyone needs to vote to end the mission. If even one player misses the vote prompt, you'll see the "Mission Not Complete" error in Ready or Not.
How to Fix:
- Make sure all players hit Y (default key) when the vote prompt appears.
- If someone isn't voting, remind them via voice or text chat.
- If a player is AFK, you might need to wait it out or kick them from the session.

- If the vote screen isn't showing up for some players, restart the mission.
3. Objective Bugs
Sometimes, you've genuinely completed everything, but the game still doesn't recognize it.
Common Bugs:
- The game doesn't register secured weapons.
- A hostage doesn't count as rescued even though they are.
- An objective remains incomplete despite meeting the conditions.
How to Fix:
- Restart the mission and try again.
- In multiplayer, switch the host (sometimes, the game registers objectives differently for different players).
- Verify your game files: Go to Steam > Right-click Ready or Not > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files. This can fix missing or corrupted files that might cause issues.
The Classic ‘Restart and Hope’ Method
If none of the above solutions work, sometimes the only way out is to restart the mission.
It's not the most ideal solution, but Ready or Not is still in development, and mission completion bugs are not uncommon. If a mission refuses to complete no matter what, restarting is often the quickest fix.
And that's how you can fix "Mission Not Complete" in Ready or Not.
