Baldur's Gate 3 is packed with deep, meaningful romance options—but some of the most intriguing connections are the fleeting, unexpected ones. While many players focus on long-term relationships, one of the game’s most unique romantic encounters is with Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress. Often overlooked due to its timing and location, this brief yet memorable interaction offers both intrigue and a powerful reward. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly where to find Naoise and how to unlock her exclusive romance during Act III.

Where to Find Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3

Visit Sharess' Caress in Act III

To encounter Naoise Nallinto, you must first progress into the early stages of Act III. As you travel toward Baldur’s Gate, you’ll pass through Wyrm’s Crossing. During your initial visit, you're introduced to Raphael at Sharess’ Caress—a secluded brothel located on the eastern side of the bridge leading into the city.

If you’ve already moved past this area, simply use the South Span of Wyrm’s Crossing fast-travel point. This will instantly transport you to the front porch of Sharess’ Caress, saving time and getting you straight to the action.

Locate the Nymph’s Grotto

Naoise resides in a private chamber known as the Nymph’s Grotto, located on the second floor of the establishment. To reach it, head upstairs and proceed through the door leading to the outdoor balcony area. This specific door is easy to identify—look for a green lantern hanging beside it and ivy creeping along the walls.

The door is locked, but you can open it with a successful lockpick attempt (DC 10 or higher). Rogues and stealth-inclined characters will have no trouble here.

How to Romance Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3

Interact with Naoise

Inside the Nymph’s Grotto, approach the bed to find Naoise engaged in an intimate moment with Jara, a soldier of the Flaming Fist. Jara will react negatively to your intrusion and immediately confront you. However, as she speaks, a psychic connection triggers between your tadpole and hers.

She accuses you of deception, leading to a dialogue prompt. The recommended response is:

"Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken."

Jara then speaks of the Absolute before transforming into a Mindflayer. You must defeat her in combat to proceed.

After the battle, Naoise turns to you, unfazed—and surprisingly intrigued. She reveals a fascination with Mindflayers, finding them alluring rather than terrifying. At this point, your dialogue choices shape the encounter. We selected:

"Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset."

A successful Insight check confirms she’s emotionally detached and potentially open to a romantic moment. The next critical choice appears:

"That creature aroused you, didn't it?"

Avoid judgmental responses to keep the interaction progressing positively. Naoise admits she was anticipating the Mindflayer experience but suggests another “flavor” might suffice. Choose the following options to advance the romance:

"What did you have in mind?"
"Close your eyes and listen"

This leads to a surreal, mentally immersive romantic scene—entirely set within your character’s mind.

Naoise invites you to choose “what you will be,” offering symbolic personas:

  • Revered
  • Contented
  • Powerful
  • Rich
  • I think we're done here

Selecting "Contented" (or any of the first four) triggers a brief, dreamlike encounter. Once complete, Naoise will not engage further—she clearly states that "rapture" can only be offered once.

Notably, this encounter does not affect existing relationships. Even if your character is romantically involved with Karlach or another exclusive partner, no jealousy or consequences arise—making this a risk-free, one-time experience.

Upon completion, Shadowheart may grant you the "Carnal Rituals of Sharess" inspiration point, adding a flavorful nod to the event.

More importantly, Naoise bestows the Rapture Boon—a valuable passive ability that grants a +1d6 bonus to nearly all ability checks. This can significantly boost skill rolls throughout the rest of your playthrough, making the encounter not only memorable but strategically rewarding.
