This update delivers much more than just new characters.
The January 14th launch includes the open beta and the introduction of Aladdin, the first God from the Tales of Arabia pantheon, a Magical Assassin and Jungler capable of wall-running and trapping enemies. Returning favorites from the original Smite—Mulan, Geb, Ullr, and Agni—also appear, boasting updated skill sets.
When Does the Smite 2 F2P Open Beta Begin?
- January 14, 2025
This open beta introduces a new 3v3 Joust mode, set in an Arthurian-themed area with Teleporters and Stealth Grass. A 1v1 Duel mode uses the same map. The innovative Aspects feature lets players trade a God's ability for a powerful boon; for instance, Athena loses her ally-shielding teleport but gains a foe-weakening one. Twenty of Smite 2's 45 Gods will initially feature Aspects, with more to come.
Quality-of-life improvements include Role Guides, helpful new player messages, PC text chat, item store enhancements, and death recaps. The first Smite 2 esports tournament finale takes place at the HyperX Arena in Las Vegas from January 17th-19th. Smite 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
