As the first significant sales event of 2025, Valentine's Day often features some of the year's lowest prices.

8. 4th of July Sales (July 1–6)

The 4th of July, falling on a three-day weekend, is a surprisingly great time for deals across various categories. Last year saw significant price cuts on electronics like TVs and gaming monitors, rivaling Prime Day or Black Friday. Other product categories like mattresses, major appliances, furniture, clothing, sporting equipment, and grills also see discounts. This marks the first official summer sale.

9. Prime Day (Mid-July)

Amazon Prime Day, the first major sales event of the year, has grown to rival Black Friday in terms of discounts. Originally an Amazon-exclusive event, it now sees participation from retailers like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Kohl's. Prime Day is a prime time to buy almost anything.

While the exact date for Prime Day 2025 is unknown, based on last year, it's expected to start on Tuesday, July 15 and run through Wednesday, July 16. Other retailers may have slightly different dates.

After Prime Day, August hosts various back-to-school sales, culminating in Labor Day sales. 11. October Prime Day Sales (Mid-October)

While the exact date is unknown, it typically occurs during the second week of October and lasts a couple of days.

12. Black Friday Sales (November 1–30)

Black Friday remains the best time to buy almost anything. As the largest shopping event, it features the year's best discounts. Although Black Friday 2025 falls on November 28, deals start post-October Prime Day and continue throughout November. The best deals often occur on Thanksgiving and the following Friday.

Major retailers typically announce their official Black Friday sales in late October, usually starting the weekend before Black Friday, around November 21.

13. Cyber Monday Sales (November 30–December 5)

Cyber Monday, launched in 2005 to offer online deals post-Thanksgiving, has grown to match Black Friday in significance. While the sales are similar, they occur at different times.
