We are excited to announce the latest update to 2GIS, which has evolved to better showcase the wealth of information we have about cities and businesses. The new version of 2GIS features a revamped design, an enhanced search functionality, improved city updates, and a seamless integration of favorites with 2gis.ru.

Services, addresses, and companies

With 2GIS, you can easily find out which service provider operates in your building, locate your nearest district hospital or post office, and choose a café or service center based on reviews and photos. The app also provides opening hours and contact numbers for your convenience.

Transport and navigation

For drivers, 2GIS offers real-time navigation with voice instructions that guide you through your journey, taking into account traffic conditions and road closures. If you deviate from your planned route, the app will automatically recalculate the best path. For public transport users, 2GIS provides route options using buses, metro, trains, cable cars, and river trams.

Walking routes

Our pedestrian navigation system plots the best route for you to walk, offering voice guidance and working seamlessly in the background.

Friends on the map

A new feature allows you to track the real-time location of your friends and family on the map. You have full control over who can see your location and who you want to connect with. Adjust your visibility settings as needed.

Building entrances

Avoid the hassle of searching for entrances to business centers. 2GIS has detailed information on how to enter over 2.5 million companies. Whether you're navigating by public transport or car, the app will guide you right to the door.

Plans of shopping centers

Navigate inside shopping centers with ease. 2GIS shows you the layout, including shops, cafés, ATMs, and restrooms, helping you plan your visit efficiently.

2GIS beta Notifications companion app for smartwatches on Wear OS

Enhance your navigation experience with our beta companion app for Wear OS smartwatches. This tool allows you to view maps, receive maneuver hints, and get vibration alerts as you approach turns or bus stops. The app starts automatically when you begin navigation on your phone and is compatible with Wear OS 3.0 and later.

By using the beta version, you'll receive the latest updates and contribute to the development of the new 2GIS, which will soon be used by millions. You can run both the original and beta versions simultaneously, switching between them as needed.

• We now display wide, realistic roads on the main map and when searching for routes.
• Introducing Chats for Friends! Now you can message each other without leaving the map.
• Added notifications when a friend is nearby (can be turned off in settings).
• Just in time for ski season, we've added ski lift statuses on slopes: see whether they're open or not.
• If your public transport route includes walking, we’ll calculate the walking part in steps.
