Avowed Marks First Month with Major Update, New Features

Just one month post-launch, and with its inclusion on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released a celebratory trailer for Avowed. This trailer features a compilation of glowing reviews and quotes from gaming critics, underscoring the warm reception of this action-RPG.

The game's latest update introduces support for DLSS 4, incorporating Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advancements significantly boost performance, with NVIDIA reporting frame rates that can triple at maximum 4K settings, peaking at an impressive 340 FPS. The developers have also hinted at exciting future announcements regarding the game's ongoing support and roadmap in the coming weeks.

Beyond technical enhancements, this update enriches the player experience. Players will now receive an extra talent point for every five levels achieved, and those who have already advanced will have these points retroactively added upon game load. For keyboard and mouse users, a new feature allows toggling between walking and running, while an accessibility option has been added to increase font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game texts.

While Avowed didn't leave critics entirely speechless, it has secured robust reviews across the board. Notably, Digital Foundry lauded the game as a technical "triumph," cementing its status as a remarkable achievement from Obsidian.
