Elden Ring Nightreign Update 1.01.1: Solo Mode Enhanced, Bugs Resolved, Gameplay Balanced

Authore: SavannahUpdate:Dec 14,2025

FromSoftware has launched Elden Ring Nightreign patch 1.01.1, the first update since the game’s release, significantly improving the single-player experience.

Patch 1.01.1, now available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S, introduces the "Automatic Revival Upon Defeat" feature, enabling one revival per night boss battle in solo expeditions and boosting rune rewards for solo players.

This update offers relief to players who found solo mode overly challenging. As noted in IGN's Elden Ring Nightreign review: "For those hoping to play Nightreign entirely solo, unless you're a hardcore Elden Ring enthusiast seeking extreme challenges, this game may not suit you. The single-player option, while available, was initially so unbalanced that a patch was expected within the first month. This comes from someone deeply immersed in these games."

The update also increases the availability of high-rarity Relics as rewards for reaching Day 3 in Expeditions and raises the chance of obtaining these Relics from Scenic Flat stones bought at the Small Jar Bazaar. Bandai Namco has published the full patch notes below.

Over the weekend, FromSoftware addressed matchmaking issues in Elden Ring Nightreign, providing solutions for affected players. Criticism has surfaced, primarily due to the absence of duos co-op, voice chat, and other outdated mechanics. The challenge of assembling a three-player team remains a core part of the Nightreign multiplayer experience.

Last week, producer Yasuhiro Kitao shared on social media that Elden Ring Nightreign sold 2 million units on its first day. “Nightreign’s unique design sets it apart from our recent titles,” Kitao noted. “We’re thrilled that so many of you have embraced this world.”

“Like Demon's Souls or Sekiro, Nightreign may feel daunting at first, but its challenges are rewarding. Overcoming the initial barriers will bring a distinct sense of achievement.”

“We hope you find it captivating.”
